THE GERSTON DISTILLERIES: 1796 \u2013 1882 & 1886 \u2013 1914
\nAmplasare istorica: Halkirk, Caithness<\/p>\n

ASPECT: Culoare de un galben intens.
\nAROMA: Fructate foarte distincte de fructe ro\u0219ii coapte \u0219i caramel.
\nGUST: Dominant de fructe (prune, ringlote, fructe rosii de padure), de caramel, tofee, delicat de fum si lemnozitate.
\nCONCLUZII: Un gust interesant, cumva de moda veche, in special daca este consumat fara adaus de apa.<\/p>\n

Lost Distillery – Classic Stradheden 0.7L<\/strong><\/p>\n

STRADHEDEN DISTILLERY (1829 \u2013 1926)
\nAmplasare istorica: Auchtermuchty, Fife<\/p>\n

ASPECT:<\/strong> De o culoare de un galben auriu inchis.
\nAROMA:<\/strong> Seducatoare, intens fructata, de coaja de portocale si fructe proaspete, rascoapte, si de fructe uscate, sustinute de arome de piele.
\nGUST:<\/strong> Suav de fructe exotice (banane, mango, portocale), imbogatit cu savoarea notelor mieroase si de subtile note de ciocolata si turba.
\nCONCLUZII:<\/strong> Caracteristica usor uleioasa si delicat medicinala, este nota de distinctie a acestui whisky.<\/p>\n

Lost Distillery – Classic Auchnagie 0.7L<\/strong><\/p>\n

AUCHNAGIE DISTILLERY (1812 \u2013 1911)
\nAmplasare istorica: Tulliemet, Perthshire<\/p>\n

ASPECT:<\/strong> De o cuoare intensa de un galben cu reflexii argintii.
\nMIROS:<\/strong> Arome puternice, florale, intens de fructe uscate si subtile de piper.
\nGUST:<\/strong> Accentuat de fructe si miere, sustinut de o savoare
\nde alune si nuci caju prajite, cu delicate note de lemn de stejar.
\nCONCLUZII:<\/strong> Senzatia de final dupa inghitire, are o durata medie, este placuta, distincta de arome de lemn si de miez de nuca zdrobit.<\/p>\n

Lost Distillery – Classic Jericho 0.7L<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

JERICHO DISTILLERY (1822 \u2013 1913)
\nAmplasare istorica: Nether Jericho, Aberdeenshire<\/p>\n

Distileria a fost fondat\u0103 \u00een 1822 de c\u0103tre Ierihon William Smith (un fermier extrem de religios, fratele unui preot din parohia Oyne) \u00een Highlands, intr-o zona perfecta pentru productia de whisky la scara mica; orzul provenea din productia locala si turba din dealurile din vecinatate. Paraul Jordan aflat in imediata vecinatate, asigura nu numai apa necesara productiei, dar si actionarea morilor de apa. Daca la inceput locatia greu accesibila a fost benefica, productia fiind greu de monitorizat si de taxat, ea a fost considerata ulterior un impediment pentru dezvoltarea distributiei; cea mai apropiata cale ferata fiind la Insch, la 5 mile distanta.<\/p>\n

La inceputul secolului XIX, multi producatori din Aberdeenshire au facut tranzitia de la producatori ilegali si contrabandisti, la oameni de afaceri respectabili, fortati de Excise Act din 1823, care regulariza licentele si impozitarea productiei de whisky.<\/p>\n

ASPECT:<\/strong> De o culoare intensa, delicat galbuie.
\nAROMA:<\/strong> Puternica de fructe negre de padure, de mandarine si turba.
\nGUST:<\/strong> Savuros, accentuat de tarta de fructe, stafide, de vanilie si ierburi aromate, delicat de Sherry, bine structurat si usor dulceag.
\nCONCLUZII:<\/strong> Senzatia de final este de o persistenta medie spre lunga, cu note elegante de Sherry.<\/p>\n

Lost Distillery – Classic Towiemore 0.7L<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

TOWIEMORE DISTILLERY (1898 – 1931)
\nAmplasare istorica: Botriphnie, Dufftown, Speyside<\/p>\n

Towiemore si-a inceput activitatea in cea mai benefica perioada a industriei whisky-ului, si a produs in cea mai grea perioada a acesteia. Numele provine din galeza, din asocierea \u201eTulach\u201d (deal) sau \u201eToll\u201d (gol\/gaura) cu \u201eMor\u201d (mare, masiv) in completare, cu referire directa la cariera prin care trecea sursa de apa a distileriei, paraul Towie.
\nProprietarul Peter Dawson, un abil om de afaceri si un maestru al publicitatii, a reusit sa castige titlul de furnizor al casei regale a Spaniei in timpul regelui Alfonso XIII, si sa sponsorizeze expeditia Terra Nova a Capitanului Scott catre Polul Nord.<\/p>\n

Declararea insolventei in 1930, a facilitat achizitionarea ulterioara a intregului echipament de productie de catre Dalwhinnie Distillery, care fusese complet distrusa intr-un incendiu in 1934.<\/p>\n

ASPECT:<\/strong> De o culoare limpede de un galben auriu, cu reflexii maronii.
\nAROMA:<\/strong> Seducatoare de fructe (distinct de caise), invaluite in accente de vanilie si usoare note de migdale.
\nGUST:<\/strong> Intens de piersici si caise, de o textura cremoasa si un gust distinct de nuca si migdale.
\nCONCLUZII:<\/strong> Un whisky echilibrat, cu o senzatie la final dupa inghitire, de o persistenta medie spre lunga, cu adevarat savuroasa.<\/p>\n

Lost Distillery – Classic Lossit 0.7L<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

LOSSIT DISTILLERY (1817 \u2013 1867)
\nAmplasare istorica: Ballygrant, Islay<\/p>\n

Relatia dintre insula Islay si malt whisky, este de foarte lunga durata. Se presupune ca este una dintre primele beneficiare ale procesului de distilare, adus aici din timpuri stravechi de catre calugarii veniti din Irlanda.
\nSituata in parohia Killarow & Kilmeny, in estul insulei langa mica localitate Ballygrant, se spune despre Lossit ca ar fi fost prima Single Estate Distillery (o abordare de business foarte populara printre micii producatori in industrie in ziua de astazi), distileria folosind doar resurse locale.<\/p>\n

ASPECT:<\/strong> Are o culoare placuta, de un galben usor inchis.
\nAROMA:<\/strong> Distincta de turba, migdale si lemnozitate, completata de o fructozitate de pere si note de piper.
\nGUST:<\/strong> Complex, greoi si distinct, puternic lemnos si afumat, de turba, lemn, nuca, migdale si condimente.
\nCONCLUZII:<\/strong> Are un gust remanent intens si prelung, un whisky robust ce se adreseaza connaisseur-ilor, un perfect Islay whisky cu aroma distincta a brichetelor de turba si caracteristica inconfundabila de salinitate.<\/p>\n
