Maker\u2019s Mark este un bourbon distilat in Loretto, Kentucky, imbuteliat intr-o sticla cu forma neobisnuita, sigilata cu ceara rosie. Cea care a ales numele acestui bourbon, i-a desenat eticheta si a inventat sigiliul de ceara este Margie Samuels, sotia lui T. William Samuels, cel care pus bazele primei distilerii \u201ccomerciale\u201d in 1840.<\/p>\n

Maker’s Mark este invechit intre 5 ani jumatate si 6 ani jumatate si imbuteliat numai atunci cand degustatorii cad de acord ca gustul sau a atins maturitatea. Maker\u2019s Mark este una din putinele distilerii care rotesc butoaiele in pivnite, pentru ca prin rotatie toate sa beneficieze de exact aceeasi temperatura.<\/p>\n

Maker’s Mark este unul din putinele whiskey-uri americane care folosesc in denumire ortografia scotiana: whisky in loc de whiskey.\u00a0 Acest lucru se datoreaza mostenirii scotiene a produsului (inventatorul sau, Robert Samuels – bunicul lui T.W. Samuels – a fost un imigrant scotian).<\/p>\n
