Distileria Oban este punctul de frontiera intre vestul regiunii Highland si zona insulara, locul de intalnire dintre mare si uscat. Locatia este una izolata. Distileria a fost infiintata de John si Hugh Stevenson in anul 1794 si se numara printre cele mai vechi distilerii licentiate inca active din Scotia. Oban este si una dintre cele mai mici distilerii de whisky, fiind a doua cea mai mica din portofoliul Diageo, dupa Royal Lochnagar. Cei care au condus de-a lungul timpului distileria au imbratisat traditia ospitaliera si activitatile civice, valori care nu se regasesc doar in ordinea de zi a distileriei, ci sunt specifice orasului. Sortimentul etalon al gamei este cel de 14 ani, care reprezinta West Highlands in colectia Diageo\u2019s Classic Malt inca din 1987. Un alt sortiment de seama este Oban Distiller\u2019s Edition Montilla Fino, un whisky sofisticat si expresiv, extrem de apreciat de cunoscatori si experti.<\/p>\n

Oban 14 YO<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Oban 14 ani este un single malt elegant, clasic, care provine din vestul regiunii Highland. Caracterul expresiv si paleta aromatica bogata, dominata de fructe, contureaza o personalitate destul de complexa pentru un whisky tanar. Buchetul oglindeste perfect spiritul rafinat al distileriei Oban, iar notele usor sarate confera un aer curat sortimentului scotian, echilibrandu-l. Sortimentul poate fi savurat simplu, cu gheata sau cu un strop de apa, care deschide arome bogate de fructe. Lichidul prezinta note dulci de budinca de caramel, vanilie si pudra de cacao, completate de accente lemnoase. Un strop de apa evidentiaza arome de mere si pere zemoase. Arome intense de ciocolata de casa, pudra de cacao, fructe uscate, pere si mere. Persistent, dominat de note de nuci, ciocolata, coaja de lamaie si un strop de sare. Ambra, cu reflexii aurii.<\/p>\n
